Electronic Pop | With their first Hi-Fi release the Birdsong Netlabel from Israel distributes six wonderful pop-orientated remixes by Beatmapper. Every track comes around with another flavour ranging from the fabulous orchester-remix “tattoo” for Her Highness to the enthusiastic “When i go to the barn” for Lonesome Executive. Especially “When i go to the barn” creeps under my skin with these anthem-like chords. Beatmapper did it: six remixes for three different birdsong artists which are nice to hear. A pleasant journey which takes you from electronic pop to orchestral pop to an instrumental anthem which leaves you quiet and peaceful behind. Be kind rewind! This season found me in the midst of a little personal crisis and I was sitting idly around the house for long hours. Like me at the time, this doesn't travel too far from where it starts. Just a little underproduced thing I tossed up in Garageband in 20 or 30 minutes. The percussion's all loops. Less

An abstract electronic piece; some of the piano riffs later through the song sound like they're being pushed too fast, which led me to the title. Another attempt at working with Logic Express to produce something that sounds cool. Much of the piano is myself, most everything else is samples. This is definitely background music, but should fill that role well. Less
