Higher quality video available in the underneath links! (highly recommended) Yes, that's what I said very soon. Xologola seems different every time you watch it: kind of like the images are trying to suggest you something but you're not able to get it. Or maybe it's the opposite: you try desperately to give things a familiar shape, but the images won't allow it. "Xologola was made a year ago, last October", said director Michael Robinson. "It's made up of scans and pictures of branches, broken and scratched glass, and digitally painted textures, with no real intent for recognizable forms." And about the sound: "it was made by my friend Bish with percussion on a table of glass. I was scraping strings, and the final recording came out gamelan-esque." If you liked these shorts and would like for more, maybe something a little less abstract, you can check Oomper Oomper out at HD Fest. Or wait for my post about the two "parts" of that movie. Yes, that's what I said very soon. Io pizzicavo strumenti a corda. © 2007 thanks Michael!
