Fruit and especially vegetables are healthier and most of the time depending on how their prepared low calorie substitutions. For example in an omelet remove most of the cheese and an egg and throw in lots of veggies. Same with a sub sandwich - go heavy with the veggies and lose the mayo, cheese and oil.
