Cancer Research UK has announced that 5 new genes have been discovered which may contribute to the development of Breast cancer. Up to now we’ve only known about a couple of rare genes, Braca 1 and Braca 2, which have a powerful effect and we know of several women who’ve been found to have the genes and have gone on to have prophylactic double mastectomies.
