HOLLYWOOD -- I met up with Taz "TI$A" Arnold on Tuesday night at the AlwaysOn party. Taz was a panelist with fellow urban music innovators moderated by Quincy "QD3" Jones III. (An interview with Jones is being cut.) It is extremely instructive to learn how artists are embracing digital media with great success. Last week, we interviewed Chamillionaire. Taz has an extraordinary career as a performer and producer for artists including Mos Def, Erykah Badu and Herbie Hancock. He has produced and performs in this incredible Obama fan music video. Isn't his wardrobe awesome? I love the sunglasses! (Video is below.) He filled me in on his growing work in fashion design including his own accessory line and work for the venerable leather fashion house MCM.
