In this episode, Taylor Ellwood, magician and writer, joins us to talk about his innovative and experimental magickal practices. As part of our conversation, we discuss his alchemical workings, a process that involves the inner laboratory and its transmutation in his book, “Inner Alchemy: Energy Work and the Magic of the Body.” Taylor also discusses his experimental attitude towards magick, especially with regard to evocations and space / time divination. He describes several techniques that he employs, including his ideas about newer versus older archetypes, a concept that he more fully explores in his book, “Pop Culture Magick.” Experimentation and innovation are important to the evolution of magickal practice, as Taylor notes.
