MICHAEL McDERMOTT got his start performing in Chicago coffeehouses in the early 90's. A big time record deal and the release of his debut album soon followed. His song "A Wall I Must Climb" quickly rose the rock charts generating critical hosannas and drawing Springsteen and Dylan comparisons. After years of self-destructive behavior, McDermott had his moment of truth in November 2004.
