LEE ROCKER helped reintroduce rockabilly to a mass audience with the Stray Cats in the early 80’s. The group’s first American album, 1982’s Built For Speed, became a huge hit, and held the #2 spot on the Billboard chart for 26 weeks, right behind Michael Jackson’s Thriller. He’ll have a lot to talk about on the show with the release of his latest solo CD on Alligator Records Black Cat Bone recorded with his road-tested-band plus a recent reunion tour with the Stray Cats. MEG HUTCHINSON completed her BA in Creative Writing, quit her long time job on an organic vegetable farm in the Berkshire Hills of Massachusetts, abandoned her room above a chicken coop, and then hit the road. She went on to win a New Folk Award at the Kerrville Folk Festival in Texas, along with awards at the Rocky Mountain Folks Fest and the Telluride Troubadour Songwriter's Showcase in Colorado, as well as The Chris Austin Songwriting Contest at Merlefest in North Carolina. Meg has recently finished recording her fourth studio album Come Up Full which will be released in February 2008 on Red House Records. Less
