NBC has introduced a free, ad-supported Web site where you can download some of its shows after they air on television. See, we thought we wanted that. But the shows expire a week after they air, they come wrapped in an NBC-specific player, they don't work on portable devices, and the service is, for now, Windows-only. Umm...fail.
