EdTech Posse Podcast 2.2 We were mostly all in the same room at the SACE conference in Saskatoon back on Sept. 28. Rick, Alec, Heather (the new deputy) and I were talking after Rick’s keynote speech so I decided to get out the iRiver and record the conversation. There is a lot of noise in this one, but the conversation was good enough that I decided it might be worth a listen. Show notes: The Free Hugs Campaign, as Rick mentioned in his keynote lonelygirl15 Alec comments that Rick was getting into more technical stuff in the keynote than he has usually done recently (RSS and such). Most people don’t know about RSS - we are cutting edge. Caroline Thomson joins us Rob speculates that lonelygirl15 and similar phenomena are the result of a media context shift. Rules of the old medium are incorrectly assumed for the new medium. Alec has seen something similar with his students - “They are confusing the medium for the message.” Rick is still voting for Bobby Kennedy. Heather notes that John Ashcroft lost an election to a dead man.
