This is a programme in the “Shambles HEADcast” Podcast series produced by Chris Smith http://www.shambles.net/podcasting Conversations with present and past Headteachers and Principals of International Schools in South East Asia. In this program Chris talks with Gordon Lewis OBE who has been a teacher in the UK, Germany and then as the Headteacher of Shatin Junior School an ESF primary (5-11) school in Hong Kong and a short time helping to establish a school in Beijing before retiring early. Gordon shares his experiences in Hong Kong especially offering some advice to new Headteachers and teachers who are considering moving to Hong Kong, including advice related to interviews and also highlights some of the ‘challenges’ to working in the region. Gordon was also actively involved in the introduction of ICT into the curriculum and specifically mentions an ‘Intergrated Learning System” Pilot done in the school.
