Wyoming archaeologist Dr. Danny Walker leads a group of volunteers in excavating a “dig site” around Legend Rock, the site of ancient petroglyphs outside of Thermopolis. From retired archaeologists to people who just enjoy volunteering their time, the group enjoys working with Dr. Walker. All this to the surprise of two representatives from Wyoming’s Department of State Parks and Cultural Resources Public Information Office—the question of WHY anyone would want to give up a perfectly good summer to volunteer is answered!
