Coming from different parts of the US, the members of Augustana met at the tiny liberal arts college of Greenville College in Greenville, Illinois. But after a few years, the band decided to head out west for the bright lights of Hollywood and Los Angeles, leaving behind bassist Simeon Lorhmann who finished school and then joined the band Pennington. In 2004, Augustana released their debut, “All The Stars and Boulevards” which featured the former Buzz Cut and now hit song, “Boston.” The band has been currently touring with the Goo Goo Dolls and are planning to release a new CD in 2008 and have been sampling new songs during live shows.
