Local TV news anchor Tom McGee has had his fair share of troubles and more in the area, including two DUI convictions and, most recently, the cancellation of his new news gig. McGee was always a favorite target of our heroes and, as this segment from November 2002 shows, with good reason.

The Days Of Our Wise

By popular demand, (Spike’s sister emailed and asked to hear “that thing where all the doors sounded the same”) an episode of the weekly gubernatorial soap opera cum sit-com “The Days Of Our Wise”, in which then governor Bob Wise, following his Instant Messenged “affair of the heart” with a state worker, decides not to run for a second term. Or, at least, his wife decides he’s not running for a second term and Wise pretends it was his idea. In reality, the governor announced this decision not through the traditional press conference method, but by granting a day-long series of mini one-on-one interviews with the local media. It was episode 24 of the show, from Friday August 15 2003. But before that, a treat from early January 2004….
