Remembering a V-2 Rocket

This is a fixed version of an interview I did a year ago with Geoffrey Voss, retired engineer. Geoffrey still has a working electrical fuel pump from a V2 bomb that crashed into the field by his house when he was a child during WWII.

There are a few lessons I (re)learned from producing this piece:
One - watch your levels.
Two - make sure you listen carefully before you publish a piece.
Three - do not think about fixing a piece that has already aired.

Also, I'm in the process of moving files from server to server. Hopefully this time, my server will not run off in the night!

I spoke with master skeleton articulator Michael De Roos about how you prep a 30 metre long blue whale for display.

After all the meat, viscera and rotten oil are taken off the whale, the bones will be mounted and suspended from the ceiling of the Beaty Biodiversity Museum in Vancouver, BC.

Trade Waiting 00

First of a two podcast run show!

Still, I want to be able to find it later.

Hey everyone,

Welcome to the offical podcast of Legends Comics in Victoria, BC. What you are going to hear every week (or other week) is the slant on the comic biz from Gareth, Lloyd and podcast producer Sterling (me).

Maybe this site will just be about the podcast… or maybe it will be about everything!

So why Trade Waiting? Well, if you’re in Legends, you’ll see comics with staples on one side, and trade paper backs, or trades, on the other side.

A lot of people wait for the compiled version of the comic, hence trade waiting.

This can put you in an odd spot if you are always in a shop, looking at the most recent installment, and willing yourself not to buy.

We honour the strength it takes to wait.

So, here is the pilot episode. It’s funny, a little informative and fairly well done. The one thing I’m not happy about is that the non-professional media person, Gareth, sounds better ...
