<description>Pink Floyd are an English progressive rock band noted for philosophical lyrics, classical rock compositions, sonic experimentation, innovative cover art, and elaborate live shows. One of rock music&#8217;s most successful and influential acts, the group have sold over 200 million albums worldwide,[1] and an estimated 73.5 million albums in the United States alone.[2] Pink Floyd had modest success in the late-1960s as a psychedelic band led by the late Syd Barrett. Barrett&#8217;s increasingly erratic behaviour eventually forced his colleagues to augment and eventually replace him with guitarist David Gilmour and the band went on to record several elaborate concept albums, achieving worldwide success with 1973&#8217;s The Dark Side of the Moon, 1975&#8217;s Wish You Were Here, 1977&#8217;s Animals, and 1979&#8217;s The Wall, among the best-selling, most critically acclaimed, and enduringly popular albums in rock music history. Waters performed with the band on 2 July 2005 at the London Live 8 concert, playing to Pink Floyd&#8217;s biggest audience ever. On 3 February 2006, Gilmour gave an interview to the Italian newspaper La Repubblica which indicated the band would no longer tour or produce any new material,[3] although various members still plan on producing solo or collaborative material. The possibility of an appearance similar to Live 8 has not been ruled out by either Mason 4 or Gilmour.[5]</itunes:subtitle>

Just after its release, Derin Esmer moved to the USA and was replaced by prominent guitarist Kerem &#195;&#8211;zye&#196;&#376;en. After the devastating 1999 Kocaeli earthquake, Mor ve &#195;&#8211;tesi started playing more on social and political themes. They were also very active in the opposition against the use of nuclear energy in Turkey. In 2001, they realised their third album, &#8220;G&#195;&#188;l Kendine&#8221;. With Kerem &#195;&#8211;zye&#196;&#376;en, there was a noticeable change in the music, and after 17 August there was a noticeable change in lyrics. In the summer of 2003, Mor ve &#195;&#8211;tesi&#8217;s single, &#8220;Yaz&#8221; debuted, which was a cover of the famous song performed by the famous Turkish superstar Ajda Pekkan during the seventies. Their fourth album &#8220;D&#195;&#188;nya Yalan S&#195;&#182;yl&#195;&#188;yor&#8221; was released in 2004. The album became their most popular album in Turkey but was not admired by their old fans as much as their previous work. The album contained considerable political criticism against USA&#8217;s activities both in Iraq and the rest of the world. The very same year, they received a Golden Orange Award for their music for the movie, &#8220;Mustafa Hakk&#196;&#177;nda Her &#197;&#382;ey&#8221;. Their fifth album &#8220;B&#195;&#188;y&#195;&#188;k D&#195;&#188;&#197;&#376;ler&#8221; (Big Dreams) was released on May 8, 2006. This is an album mainly dealing with the political problems of Turkey and the personal problems of the group members, including loss of family members and relationships. It has a darker tone compared to their previous albums. This album is regarded as a homage to their old fan base and a return to a style closer to their earlier albums. The first video was for the song &#8220;&#197;&#382;irket&#8221; (Corporation), a song criticising capitalism.</itunes:subtitle>

They released their first album &#197;&#382;ehir in 1996 and played at their first live concert outside Istanbul at METU, Ankara. That year, Burak G&#195;&#188;ven replaced Alper Tekin on bass. B&#196;&#177;rak Zaman Aks&#196;&#177;n, their second album was released in 1999 to massive success. The first video was for the song &#8220;&#197;&#382;irket&#8221; (Corporation), a song criticising capitalism.</itunes:summary>
