The VC Show #002 (mp3 - 18MB - 55min) LISTEN TO THE PODCAST HERE Well I know it’s been a while between drinks folks, but these damn VC are a shady bunch, what can I tell ya. They were all so scared off by my hard-hitting interview chops in the first show, that I haven’t been able to nail-gun their asses to seats in recent months. Jason Ball, though, is made of harder stuff than his contemporaries. Jason works in London for an Angel and Seed investment co-op and shares with us his insights on how to get your friendly Angel or VC to drop some green on your plate. Here are a couple of books he recommends entrepreneurs should read before they start pitching to investors: Venture Capital Due Diligence Art of the Start

The VC Show #001 - 24th May 2005 (50min) MP3 - 18.5MB Click here to listen to the show. Back in February, right around the time of DEMO, I had this great idea to start a podcast where I chat with venture capitalists. I did a couple of shows but then one thing lead to another (eg we launched a pre-emptive strike on the world’s media industry) and we got bogged down in other shows… so this site never went up. But good things come to those who wait (and hassle… thanks Molly!). This first show is with Dr Sandy McKinnon from Pentech Ventures in Scotland. We had a great chat about how Pentech approach investing in software companies, some of their successes, like Sonaptic, and a simple guide for what you, as an entrepreneur, should do before you approach an early stage investor such as Pentech. It was a great chat and I’d like to thank Sandy for being bold enough to jump in first!
