It's another "what we're playing" week, which really needs a better name so it's easier to use in a sentence without needing quotes. This week there's some Lord of the Rings Online (we like it again!) Dungeons and Dragons Online, Guild Wars, City of Heroes, the briefest of Eve mentions, Modern Warfare 2 and Assassin's Creed 2. There's also far too much playing of Borderlands. As a bonus you get to find out which one of us is the sensitive, caring one and which one of us totally lacks empathy. You can follow us on twitter as @vanhemlock and @jonshute, read our blogs at www.vanhemlock.com or leave us a comment at www.virginworlds.com or on iTunes. Or you can just enjoy the show. You can also subscribe to the show through RSS or iTunes to receive the show as soon as it's published each week.

This week we're chatting about what we've been playing, starting with taking the unpopular position and having a go at LOTRO after our last few Mondays playing through the books, and then move on to talking about Guild Wars, City of Heroes, Dungeons and Dragons Online and then a rather too glowing look at Borderlands. Jon then explains why he's not that happy with Dragon Age: Origins and loses all of our listeners. You can follow us on twitter as @vanhemlock and @jonshute, read our blogs at www.vanhemlock.com or leave us a comment at www.virginworlds.com or on iTunes. Or you can just enjoy the show. Keep an eye out in a few days for Van Hemlock's impressions of WAR and Jon's impressions on some XBox Indy games. Please comment on if you like this change, it'll give the same amount of content per week but in easier to manage chunks and hopefully please everybody.

This week we return with a bumper crop of news, almost as if there were a couple of major games events happening. We then continue on with the latest operation cheap seats, which this time is Vanguard and some XBox Live Arcade games because Jon got caught up with them instead of playing what he was meant to play. Vanguard 'Splosion ManShadow ComplexTrials HD The twitter question was "Brooding on The Death of Arcade Gaming at the moment. Regale me with your favourite memories of coin-ops of yesteryear!"

This week we return to an overly hot studio and what we laughably call our normal format to give you some news and a long overdue update on what we've been playing. The podcast question was "Help me do my homework this week! What is your favourite and/or most hated MMO Monster and/or Foe?", which is just getting really lazy if you ask me. Remember kids, friends don't do homework for other friends.

This week we have a mix of studio and live recordings as Jon decides to steal another podcasts presentation style again after replacing Van Hemlock with a sock puppet, and then we sit around outside and chat about games and wasps. But mainly wasps. The twitter question was "Lifetime Subscriptions, liberation or lottery? Also, just how many Chillies can @jonshute fit in his mouth at once?" The actual answer to that was about a million schovilles and not the one given by Van Hemlock in the show.

It's the summer, so this episode is a road trip as we go off to the beach to build sandcastles and eat ice cream. We have some news, but mainly it's a (maybe) interesting insight into what we're actually like normally as we chat about inane subjects and thing you can't see because it's not a video podcast. There's also an announcement in there for something, but you'll have to listen to find out what that is.

This week we're back with some news and the results of our latest operation cheapseats games, Runes of Magic and Grando Espada. The result of which may not have quite been the one intended when the feature was thought of. The twitter question was " It's Holiday Season! What game zone, map, city or hub would you take two weeks off work to go loaf about in?" Not very many votes for planetside this week.

This week we have a very special guest: Shawn Schuster from Massively and Through the Aftermath. We talk about the weeks news and then what we've been playing. The twitter question was "What is the most useful real life skill you've gleaned from a computer game? I make a mean Lembas!". Remember folks, if Van Hemlock ever offers you lembas then don't eat it! Follow @vanhemlock on twitter to see the friday question, or @jonshute if you want to hear about less interesting things. You can find our blogs at vanhemlock.com and chimpsinspace.com, catch us on xbox live as van hemlock and senyek or stalk us in person if you're really creative.

It's time for episode 60, which we celebrate with a lack of celebration and so launch into the weeks news instead. This week we have the conclusion to the first round of operation cheapseats. Jon has been playing Jumpgate and Van Hemlock has been busy with Rappelz and we report back on what they're like to play for two weeks. This week the podcast question was " The first Op Cheapseats Free Trial Fortnight is in the bag! Which games next for @jonshute and for me? Recommendations please!" in another blatant attempt to get listeners to do all the work on the show for us. You can follow @vanhemlock to be part of the next one every Friday.

This week we're back with some more news (which contains bad language, so be warned) followed by an introduction to our new feature which is stolen straight from Van Hemlock's blog. So not really stolen then. The twitter question was "Impressed with Beneath a Steel Sky at gog.com. What old and busted gaming classics would you want to see revived and playable?" and resulted in a less than productive weekend playing on a spectrum emulator.

It's another week of news and what we're playing, and this time we manage to cover everything from World of Warcraft (for an MMO podcast you would think we'd mention them a bit more than we do) to canceled Saturday evening TV shows. There's also a surprise return for a less well known game in the what we're playing section, but will it be there again next time? Am I trying to invent a sense of tension in the show notes? I hope not, because it's not working. The twitter question was "Fed up with the usual Tank, Healer, DPS and Crowd Control. What new class or role shall we make a requirement for group work?" Game designers take note.

This week, in our least well prepared show ever, we return with another unhealthy dose of increasingly MMO-less news and ramblings about stuff. The twitter question was " This week saw us literally paralysed by LotRO's Dread System, which was quite irritating! What MMO mechanic annoys you the most?" which gave us a distinct lack of comedy answers, but so many sensible ones we decided to go with it for the topic as well.

It's our E3 special, in which we have in depth analysis of all the major releases and show how they are going to effect the games industry over the next five years. OK, they were mostly sequel announcements so we just run through the keynotes and take cheap shots at the games before another session of what we've been playing. The twitter question this week was "Another E3 come and gone. See anything you liked? Didn't see something you hoped to? Let me know cos I missed the whole thing!". Then it degenerated into rude comments about uses for Project Natal. There is also a recommendation for http://www.trueachievements.com in the show as well as their UI is quite nice. That's as close to a glowing endorsement as we get. You can read out blogs at http://www.vanhemlock.com and http://www.chimpsinspace.com, follow us on Twitter as @vanhemlock and @jonshute or leave us a comment over at virginworlds.com.

This week we have the long awaited return of a topic show. After weeks of special guests ruining things (only joking guys) we get a chance to have a moan about DRM. We also have the usual news items and the twitter question, which was "Lot of MMO delays of late. Which new MMOs are you waiting for and how patient are you?"

This week we have a special guest, Matt (http://www.teppotastic.com/) from Limited Edition (http://www.virginworlds.com/podcast.php?show=27) which is the best comic podcast in the virginworlds collective. He helps us get the news wrong like usual and help push the next topic show back yet another week. The twitter question was "What would you bring to the post of Hello Kitty Online Community Manger? Or what CM job would you like instead?" You can follow us on twitter as @vanhemlock and @jonshute, read our blogs at http://www.vanhemlock.com and http://www.chimpsinspace.com and if you're feeling particularly daring you can catch us on xbox live as "Van Hemlock" and Senyek. Feel free to throw popcorn Saturday afternoons UK time as we stumble through the world of co-op games, or if you want to join in with Jons console group on Tuesday nights just send him a message.
This week we're back in the studio with more news and another rambling chat about what we've been playing. Van Hemlock would like to let the world know that this does not include Free Realms in any way. The twitter question was "L44 in CoH and the end is in sight! Which MMOs, if any, have you level capped in and what happened next?" You can leave us a comment at Virginworlds.com, vanhemlock.com or chimpsinspace.com follow us on twitter as @jonshute and @vanhemlock and since we've dropped down a page in the listings for iTunes I'll now beg for some more iTunes reviews for the show.

This week we've been left the studio again for another show recorded on location. Our guests are Mike and James from Killed in a Smiling Accident (http://kiasa.org/) and we discuss bad Darkfall reviews, abusing the ability to make missions in City of Heroes and what happens when you go to Space and NCSoft fire you while you're gone.
This week we're back with some more new and another bind-bogglingly large list of games as we discuss what we've been playing over the last fortnight. There was even a brand new game that hadn't been released at the time of recording in a flagrant breaking of the three month rule. You can leave us a comment over at Virginworlds.com, follow us on Twitter for the Friday question as @vanhemlock and @jonshute or leave us a letter with a law firm to be delivered on this date if you find yourself trapped back in the wild west.
