CREEPABILLY:
This sound is an amalgamation of classic American Roots Music, Modern Goth, and a general feel of artistic “creepiness”. This mixture of rockabilly, psychobilly, lounge music and goth rock is said to be formulated/coined by CREEPERS (band). Now spreading worldwide, but especially active in the midwestern USA, creepabilly bands in league with and influenced by CREEPERS can usually be spotted by their old-fashioned (usually acoustic) instrumentation, steampunk/film noir-influenced fashion style, dark roots-flavored music, and sometimes bearing the word “Creep” somewhere in their name.
