It’s cold in Maine, so growing up there campfires were a part of daily life. I was mostly just the person who started the fire and quietly tended it. But on rare occasions I would recite a favorite poem. Mostly Edgar Alan Poe or William Shakespeare, but also some J.R.R. Tolkien and others.
