What Is The Goal of Left, Right & Correct?

People usually vote against who or what they do NOT want rather than supporting what a candidate advocates. Since our present “winner take all” plurality voting system does not empower independent political parties (such as libertarian, green, reform or constitution)through instant runoff voting or proportional representation, (http://www.fairvote.org), independent or minority voices are not represented in public office. Enlightened, progressive voters are essentially forced to choose between the lesser of two evils major party politician rather than having the option to vote their conscience.

The two major political parties and many politicians wage misinformation campaigns to sway public opinion of those not paying close attention. This is a proven strategy by the two majority parties to get elected, but it is not leadership.

Are the voters asking the right questions, or are the questions being framed for them to limit the scope of the debate?

The primary goal of “Left, Right & Correct”, is to search together for http://TheCorrectAnswer.com to complex public policy questions, and in the process learn from each other and enable us to teach others what we have discovered.

A more enlightened and educated electorate is necessary in order to elect more qualified and intelligent leaders that will help solve the many challenges that our country will inevitably encounter in the coming years.

To hear what David Boaz is thinking about the current Presidential race/candidates and his latest book, ”The Politics of Freedom: Taking on the Left, the Right, and Threats to Our Liberties” tune in this coming Friday, February 15th at high noon to 1pm. David Boaz was inspirational to me when I first discovered that Libertarianism is http://TheCorrectAnswer.com for rational men like ourselves. And I applaud his prominent use of the words “Left and Right” in his book as a tribute to my unique libertarian radio talk show, LeftRightAndCorrect.com with Dan Belforti & Friends. Hillary or McCain in the general election? Many would say it’s kinda like choosing between the lesser of two evils: alcoholism or cocaine addiction. I will ask Mr. Boaz his opinion. I’d prefer any change from the present administration, and although I always proudly vote Libertarian, I’d prefer Hillary Clinton. See my reasons why from 3 years ago: http://www.leftrightandcorrect.com/?m=200502 Your choice?

The author of “The Healthcare Fix” will describe how we can regain sanity over the government controlled and bankrupted health care system in this country using health care vouchers for all American citizens. Other solutions include ending the income tax with the Fairtax, a national sales tax to replace the income tax, and adding personal savings accounts to social security. Dr. Kotlikoff also serves as an advisor to Presidential candidate and former U.S. Senator Mike Gravel, the finest candidate by far in the 2008 Democratic primary. Future President Mike Gravel agreed to add a few words to our dialogue as well near the end of today’s edition of http://LeftRightAndCorrect.com

For 11 years, he hosted the Boston College weekly football coach show “Eagles Preview”, on Channel 5. In 1985, Lynch initiated “High Five,” a weekly NewsCenter 5 report highlighting the achievements of high school student athletes. The unique segments have been lauded by critics and received numerous honors for a continuing commitment to covering high school athletics. From 1985 to 91 and again in 1998 and 1999, Lynch was voted Massachusetts “Sportscaster of the Year” by the National Sportswriters and Sportscasters Association. In 1987, SportsCenter 5 won the United Press International Award for “Best Sports Reporting” in the country. Prior to coming to WCVB, he was sports director for Boston’s WMRE Radio, formerly WITS, from 1977 to 1983. During this time, Lynch was responsible for the station’s Boston Red Sox and Boston Bruins pre-game shows. In addition, he hosted a weeknight sports talk show and was the radio voice of Harvard University’s football broadcasts. Lynch’s broadcasting career began in 1974 at WLYN Radio in Lynn, where he served as a color commentator for high school football and basketball broadcasts. Lynch was brought up in the Boston suburb of Swampscott. He graduated from Harvard in 1977. While in college, he quarterbacked and kicked for the Harvard team that won the 1975 Ivy League Football Championship. He also played first base for the Crimson baseball team. Mike and Dan met last weekend in Indianapolis for the AFC Championship game and discussed their experiences with the local fans that truly support their Colts. The conversation focused on the Pats but also turned to politics as usual, and some of those shared ideas will be discussed on this Friday’s show from noon to 1pm on Portsmouth Community Radio, 106.1 FM in the Portsmouth area or streaming online at link http://www.LeftRightAndCorrect.com</itunes:subtitle>

On Friday the 13th, Mike Murray (Boston College-MBA, UNH-Master of Political Science) and Dan Belforti discussed the state of affairs in New Hampshire and issues facing voters in the upcoming November election. As usual, health care and education are big areas of concern. Is this because the federal and state governments have so much influence and control over these two sectors of the economy? Should government get MORE involved or should we transition toward a free market system for education and health care? Health savings accounts and health care vouchers are discussed as two ways to transition away from the failed government monopoly over health care. School vouchers and education tax credits are explained to improve education and accountability while reducing property taxes. Please tune in by selecting a brief segment of this enlightening program from the list below. (The entire show is available for purchase on CD). More info: www.leftrightandcorrect.com
