New Bandwidth and Infrastructure Upgrades for ODEO
Busy couple of days this week. In the wee hours of Thursday AM, we successfully transitioned to a dedicated GigE link to the Internet. During the same time, we also took advantage of the time to install new backbone switches and finalize migration of data to the new storage appliance. You may have noticed a couple of hickups along the way as we tried to make the entire process seamless but ran into a performance issue on Thursday AM. Our vendor was quick to jump in, help os diagnose and quickly fix the problem.You should notice that ODEO is now much more responsive and anticipate that the upgrades will allow us to continue to scale the site as we add new features. Stay Tuned!

Down again but I understand there will be a few bumps in the road.
i can't upload any audio recently.
Odeo player can't play my audio usually.

I submitted a support ticket. All but one of my previous Odeo posts won't play. (That's 16 in the past 8 weeks). I am using one of Odeo's embedded player in Blogger. All were recorded through Odeo.
I'm the same as "zhanghao" - ben uploading new content all weekend and getting nothing but 'invalid file' - what's going on guys?????????????????
No answers to my 3/4 support tickets as well!

I have yet to hear anything and just tried to 'submit a request' on the odeo forums - keep getting an error message back - is there anybody at home for Odeo?

Finally got one mp3 but now back to 'invalid file' hell - has anyone heard direct from any support personnel? I have opened about 4/5 help topics and am sending emails as often as I can... is anyone at home for Odeo???????

Caught the entry from MediaSnackers as I returned from an anniversary w/e away. Couple of clarifications guys:
1) The site is no longer owned by the folks who own Twitter, it is owned by SonicMountain.
2) It's been a rough summer taking the transition, going through the code and, in general trying to figure out how to grow and expand ODEO under it's ailing, aging codebase. We are working quickly to figure out the cause of the random outages that have been occuring.
3) To further complicate things, the hosting for the trouble-ticket system had a database corruption that was just fixed allowing us to get back to tickets this AM.
I know that it's frustrating but we are working in parallel on a new, cleaner interface and code-base as well as trying to devote resources to keeping the site availabile.
As my posts in the blogs, any time that you are not getting response via the TT system, please email future@odeo.com and I'll get your message and respond directly. I have been working with about 1/2 dozen or so podcasters directly over the past two weeks as we worked through the invalid file message.
I am using one of Odeo's embedded player in Blogger. I like Minichamps
