PETER CASE debuted as a solo artist in 1986. Throughout the last twenty years, Peter has released album after album of benchmark material, material significant enough to warrant a three-disc tribute album featuring roots music royals Dave Alvin, Todd Snider, Chuck Prophet and James McMurtry. He is back with Let Us Now Praise Sleepy John, his most raw, direct work in nearly a decade. The album is nominated for a Grammy. Peter also just released a new book called As Far As You Can Get Without a Passport which covers his early days from the time he left his native upstate New York and wound up playing on the streets of San Francisco. CARRIE RODRIGUEZ had the simple goal of getting a gig playing a fiddle with someone great. Through her unique collaboration with veteran songwriter Chip Taylor, Rodriguez has enthralled record buyers and concert audiences throughout North America and Europe. Her debut solo CD Seven Angels was released last August and she spent last spring on the road supporting Lucinda Williams. In December, a live CD with Chip Taylor was released and she is putting the finishing touches on her second solo CD that will be released in sometime in the spring of 2008.
