MICHAEL McDERMOTT got his start performing in Chicago coffeehouses in the early 90’s. A big time record deal and the release of his debut album soon followed. His song “A Wall I Must Climb” quickly rose the rock charts generating critical hosannas and drawing Springsteen and Dylan comparisons. After years of self-destructive behavior, McDermott had his moment of truth in November 2004. Soon after, he was writing and recording again and the results can be heard on his brand new CD, Noise From Words. RHONDA RICHMOND captures the smooth and verdant tones of her native Mississippi. Steeped in the blues, peppered with jazz with a healthy dose of R&B and country, her latest CD Rhythm and Strings features special guests Alvin Youngblood Hart and her childhood friend Cassandra Wilson.
