Rev. Jeremiah Wright's controversial 9/11 sermon

It has been discussed around the nation. So what EXACTLY did Rev. Jeremiah Wright of Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago say in the aftermath of the devastation on Sept. 11, 2001? This sermon was delivered on Sept. 16, 2001 and is titled, “The Day of Jerusalem’s Fall.” Note that the “chickens coming home to roost” comment was attributed not to Wright but former Ambassador to the Iraq, Edward Peck. It comes around the 20-minute mark.

    Thank you so much for this Sermon. I felt happy and very sad to find that people will go to any lengths to destroy a person. Tis sermon is nothing like what they have portrayed in the News media. Hannity and Combs, the newsbreaker of those sound bites should be dismissed from there positions as news anchors. They have uglied the image of politics and America.

    Praise God to you Roland for clearing up the visious lies on cable news. Fox News no about this story of Ambassador Peck (white man). This sermon needs to be give to Tom Joyner and Mike Baisden to run on the radio. Reverse this lie because their hatred is planned to cost his election. It's true that Barack didn't hear this sermon because he would have said the Pastor Wright repeated what was said on Fox news and it would not be all that visious hatred.     I have spent the morning listening to both of Rev. Wright's sermons. There was nothing in either sermon that Barack needed to apologize for. Those sound bites were played out of context and posted on UTUBE for the purpose of poisoning and diluting Barack's supporters. Are there no investigative reporters left? Why didn't any of those "Fair and Balanced" commentators on any network take the time to listen to the sermons in their entirety? How can we rely on "the news media" when they have just proven they are a copycat entity that's too lazy to verify the integrity of their story. Thank you, Roland, and Anderson Cooper for making the entire sermons available online.

I am so ashamed of my fellow white citizens who were guilty of taking this good man's good name, and smearing it, in order to damage the campaign of Barach Obama. How can the people who are responsible for dissecting this beautiful sermon that is all about love, being true to who you are and having compassion to every human being on earth do what they have done, SHAME. Hopefully the American people are ready for a change to confront and go forward with honest and compassionate leaders like Rev Wright and Senator Obama. I have always been taught that in the end goodness prevails, lets hope for that!

    Reverend Wright is simply a man who does'nt bite his tonge,he's courageous and very honest when especially when he said we need to find money to solve wordly issues such as health care,aids, ... But instead we're killing eachother and spending Trillions of dollars to make it happen.It all boils down to The Lord Prayer,We must Pray for Gods kingdom to come,No matter who gets in office the same issues will remain.This is a War between Jehovah God and Satan. When Gods Sovereignty was challenged it caused all the sin of the world .Most people serve Satan and don't even realize it ,If we can all develop Godly Qualities,We'll then know what are roles are in this system of things.I'll rather go through hardship with God in my life knowing he's building character than to be a fool not having at all. Proverbs 3:7 sums it all up.

An innocent man has been demonized before the world, based on 3 video clips, taken out of the context of a sermon (lesson), manipulated and portrayed as a grotesque harangue by a diabolical racist-expatriot. All in an attempt to character assassinate the legitimate front runner of a party wrestling with its future direction and identity. This is unacceptable; it is, viciously cruel, and most assuredly un-American. Just like the lack of courage by all in the media to illuminate propaganda in the run up to the war, even after it's authorization and execution, and the many scandals to come from it, the media's complicity in the Wright scandal is cemented in history for future generations to deride.

I appreciate Reverend Wright for his conviction and courage. If he has to stand alone because of his beliefs I believe he is a man that will do it just as OUR LORD AND SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST DID. So, why are we surprised that he and Obama are being outcasted for continuing the mission and practicing the will of GOD. Although I watch Reverend Wright frequently on TVONE I was not privy to see this message when it aired. I was visiting NY searching for a loved one that was lost in the towers. This message has given me a sense of peace and direction to know that healing begins with examining self with a plan and intent to change. I know that it means when I put God first and examine myself in relation to him all other things can fall in place in my home, community, and nation. There was no malice or evilness in this message only a call for self examination of America (Aren't we America). I pray for Obama and Reverend Right that they may continue to be blessed. There is one thing I do know is that WHAT GOD HAS FOR YOU IT IS FOR YOU AND THERE IS NOTHING ANYONE CAN DO TO STOP THAT FROM HAPPENING! THANKS AGAIN! TO GOD BE THE GLORY!

    Yes, I must admit that I watch the fox news demagogues mainly to see who would be sabotaged next. If Pastor Wright is wrong, then King was wrong, the Constitution is wrong, the Bill of Rights is wrong. If Wright is wrong, I don't want to be right. The question is when will Fox News be revealed for the demoralizing plot on America's psyche?

    Thank God for ministers like Rev. Wright. Its too bad there aren't more in this world. There was nothing evil in his sermon. Fox News should listen to this sermon again and hear what Rev. Wright is really saying and apologize for trying to poison and dilute Barack Obama's supporters. CNN, Tom Joyner, Michael Baisden and yes , Windy Williams should play this sermon in it's entirety for all to hear. God bless Rev. Wright and God bless America.
