Gardner Goldsmith was saddened to note the passing of one of the most monumental figures in US political history, William F. Buckley, Jr. Mr. Buckley, often cited as the founder of the modern conservative movement in the US, died while writing, at age 82. In this edition of “Against the Grain” Gardner Goldsmith reviews some of his achievements, and asks listeners what they think will become of “conservatism”. Later, Gard spoke to David McCray, a town council in Merrimack, NH, who has introduced an ordinance that would ban non-citizens from using a town government-owned lake. Check out Gard’s analysis, and ask yourself, is recreation really a proper role of government/ It’s all from “Against the Grain” and www.libertyconspiracy.com Look for Gardner’s book, “Live Free or Die” at amazon.com!
